If you are buying or selling a home, radon can be a significant issue. Buyers should be aware of the radon risk in their area and determine whether a radon test is desirable.  The Nevada State Health Division recommends that all homes be tested for radon, regardless of geographic location or the zone designation of the county in which they are located

The Nevada Inspections Group, LLC's radon certified inspector can perform Radon Testing and provide you the results to evaluate whether mitigation should be considered according to the USEPA recommended action level.  The Nevada Inspections Group, LLC follows the protocols designed for use in residences, as described in the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) document “Home Buyer’s and Seller’s Guide to Radon” (EPA 402-K-00-008).  This is a short-term radon survey (defined as less than 90 days) that is conducted for a time period of between 48 and 60 hours in duration.   This is the radon survey method used for Real Estate Transactions.

If you would like to know the average radon concentration in your home across different seasons, use the long-term radon survey.  This is conducted for a time period of greater than 90 days up to one year exposure.  This is the option for home owners and renters.
